Petition as been risen to BAN Tom Cleverley from playing in the World Cup reaches 4,000 signatures in a day

It's one blow after another for Tom Cleverley, this time England fans are calling for him to be BANNED from playing international football

A petition which has been set up in hope of banning Tom Cleverley from appearing in England's World Cup squad has gained 4,000 signatures in ONE single day.

The petition argues that England's reputation as a footballing nation will be sincerely damaged by the inclusion of Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley in the England World Cup squad, and calls on the FA to take action.
Set up by petitioner Glenn McConnell, of Blackpool, the introduction claims his performance on the world stage could be embarrassing:
"Tom Cleverley, owner of 13 England caps, six more than Ross Barkley, Adam Lallana and Leon Osman combined, has been regularly selected by Roy Hodgson in his squads without possessing any genuine qualities whatsoever.
"We believe for the reputation of this proud footballing nation that he should be prevented from participating in this summer's international showcase.
"Whilst England are considered to disappoint at major tournaments, further embarrassment could be avoided by not having his inept performances undermine the rest of the team's efforts."
Shaun Babbage, from Canterbury, said he signed the petition because "Tom Cleverley is footballing genocide", while Sam Ryan, from Leicester, cheekily stated: "Tom Cleverley is the reason I can't get it up anymore."

The petition requires just 1,000 more signatures before it hits the required 5,000 mark
