Robin van Persie 'eyes Arsenal return' after growing increasingly disillusioned at Manchester United

Speculation surrounding the Dutchman's future continues to grow, with the Gunners the latest team to be linked with the United hitman

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is reportedly eyeing a summer return to former club Arsenal.
The Dutch international is said to be increasingly disillusioned at Old Trafford in what has been a difficult campaign for the champions.
The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League, 18 points behind leaders Chelsea and nine behind Manchester City in fourth despite having played two games more than their local rivals.
United's hopes of playing Champions League football next season appear slim after a 2-0 first leg defeat away to Olympiacos last month, and Van Persie was critical of his team-mates in the wake of the miserable defeat in Greece.
Chelsea, Juventus and Monaco were linked with the 30-year-old last week, although Van Persie is thought to favour a switch to former club Arsenal, according to the Daily Mail.
RVP left the Emirates for Old Trafford for around £25m in 2012, but the former Gunners star is said to be unhappy with life under David Moyes.
Van Persie recently hinted that he is beginning to question the methods of the current United boss.
He said: "Certain managers can hit the right nerve with a player. They have that quality.
"As I have got older and more experienced, I have become more sensitive to what my coaches are doing.
"I want to know why we are we doing this or why are we training like that. I did not ask those kinds of questions when I was younger, but now I find it interesting to study why my coaches are making certain decisions."
Van Persie is also understood to be willing to snub a £10m loyalty bonus in an effort to engineer a switch away..
