Despite a disappointing first period the Chilean got his hands on a first piece of silverware in English football with a 3-1 win at Wembley
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini
says he is "very happy" with the Blues come-from-behind win over Sunderland in the League
Cup final .
Fabio Borini had given underdogs
Sunderland a 1-0 half-time lead at Wembley with City
looking out of sorts.
However, two magnificent goals in as many minutes from Yaya Toure and Samir
Nasri turned the game in the Blues' favour, before Samir Nasri added the coup
de grace late on.
And Pellegrini believes his side are deserving winners.
"I'm very happy," said the Chilean .
"The team deserve this cup because we played well during the whole cup
and scored a lot of goals.
"It's important for all of us - for the players, the club, for me, for
the staff - all of us.
"Sunderland play a good match also and we didn't move the ball as fast
as we needed [in the first half] but in the second half we scored two beautiful
goals and had the patience to wait for the moment."
