Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger admitted that the club isn’t finished with their summer signings but would not reveal who they’re targeting, but stressed that talks are ongoing.
In an interview following their 2-0 pre-season friendly win over Boreham Wood via Metro, Wenger refused to name names when asked about a move for Khedira, but implied that the top level signings would not end with Alexis Sanchez.
“I can’t give you any names.
“We are still active. Sometimes the players you want are available very late. You do the deals when they are possible.”
Khedira has been linked to both Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks as the 2014 World Cup winner appears to have no interest in signing a contract extension and with the arrival of his German teammate to the Santiago Bernabeu, it is likely that Khedira will leave the summer.
Khedira is still on holiday and will rejoin Real Madrid for their pre-season tour in Los Angeles, if he hasn’t been transferred by then.
